The Method

1-    We enjoy a Group Class Dance Lesson

2-    The Group will be evenly matched with a maximum of 20 Females & 20 Males.  Everyone will be paired up for a short period of time.  Every 2 ½ minutes the females will rotate to their next partner.

3-    After the completion of the dancing we will then move on to the Speed Date portion.  I mean after all dancing is great but you also need to be able to communicate with one another.  This will again rotate and give you 3 minutes of chat time.

4-    At the completion of the event you will fill out your Bet U Can Meet Someone Scorecard.  If there is a match on both ends you will each be notified by email the next day.

The Difference

The key ingredient that makes Speed Dance Date so different is using the element of Dance as the tool for meeting someone.  Our studio is not a Nightclub or a Bar.  Everyone has come here with the same goal in mind.  “I want to meet someone”.  Time efficiency is the key as you now can meet many people in one night.  It also eliminates the awkward introduction stage as dancing breaks down barriers.

Let’s Focus on Dance

Even though some of you may be anxious to exchange contact information during the evening we urge you to try and resist doing so.  One of the most nerve racking moments for a guy is to ask for a phone number.  This works in reverse as well.  “When is he going to ask for my number”? 

We want to remove this question from the evening.  This helps everyone to enjoy themselves as the focus is now on the fun and learning to dance rather than the end result.

All Levels of Dancers are Welcome

Even if you are a beginner this is a great way to meet people.  We will all be learning the same dance.  Keep a good attitude and having fun will lead to a great end result.
